Rourk's reflection on the first section of the book (ch.1 - 5)
I'm talking about the character Matt and his experience.
I think in this chapter the character matt is dumbfounded about the new world around him. In this chapter he seemed very insecure and confused about all the new interactions and experiences that wash over him once he left his little world he called home. I guess he is also confused about the people who he meets throughout the chapter. In the chapter matt learned and experiments in his cell when playing with bugs and birds, and finds great interest and enjoyment with interacting with them. This is a good example within the chapter of matt and the new interactions in the new world he lives in. Also, in the story he learns a dark secret about his former self, he is a clone. This is a HUGE affect in the outcome of the story. In the story people see clones as horrible, stupid, disgusting animals that should never walk the face of the earth. In conclusion Matt being a clone effects almost every angle of the story from character development to the outcome of the story.
