Story Setting

Rourk's 2nd blog post on story setting (ch.1-116)

I think the setting does not really tie into the story at all. The setting is a small farming village with one huge house in the middle of the desert somewhere on the border of America and Mexico. The farming village is a run down, dry place with no named people. The book does not really give very much detail about the surroundings, and most details are put into the characters and the story at hand. The book does not describe the house ether. But if the house can hold more than 10 main characters than it must be a big house! I think that it would have been good if the author described the surroundings a bit more. Well, if you think about it, she needs to describe almost everything in the book in greater detail. The characters have barely any description whatsoever and i don't think i know anything more about the setting of the story besides that 1. its on the border and 2. its dry.
