For the fourth weekly blogpost, I am going to be focusing on how the people in the big house have little freedom. This is because El Patron wants people to be close to him even when he dies. An example of this is when Felicia runs away with Mr. McGregor and has a boy named Tom. Once El Patron finds out that she is gone, he takes Felicia and Tom (even though he does not like Tom) away from Mr. McGregor.
Also, during El Patron's birthday, Matt was being greedy and asked Maria to kiss him in front of the birthday guests. Maria had refused to but El Patron had forced her. This made Maria's father very angry but he could not do anything about it. Another example of El Patron's control over the people in his life.
In my opinion believe that this is completely wrong. One person should not be the one that controls people's destiny and future. I believe that when you are very old you want to to keep everything very close to and when you are like 148, you have no body at your age.
Moving away from El Patron, the rest of the family do not give much freedom towards Matt. Since Matt is a clone, he is not treated fairly by others in the house. During the wedding he is not allowed to go outside of Celia's apartment, he is not allowed to see Maria or talk to any of the other people in the big house.
The eejit's are also being treated poorly. Even though they have a chip inserted in their brains, they are HUMAN, just because they will do whatever your tell them does not make them animals. Eejit's are treated poorly by everyone within the house. From little children during the wedding as flower girls, to seniors that work and die in the fields.
If this were here in Canada they would be violating the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Specifically they would not be allowing freedom of speech or freedom to move around. This is not the way someone should be treated ever around the world. I hope that El Patron will be brought to justice.
